Welcome to the Parnell Swimming Club swimmer journey! Our squad structure is designed as a progressive pathway, guiding swimmers from their first club experience to reaching their full potential. Each stage is carefully designed to develop the technical skills, physical endurance, and mental focus appropriate for that level. Our goal is to provide a clear, supportive, and motivating environment for every athlete.

Age Group & Senior Squad

The Age Group & Senior Squad is the pinnacle of our program, home to our most dedicated and serious competitive swimmers. This group includes both our top National Age Group athletes and our Senior swimmers who are competing at major regional, national, and international championships.

ed by our Head Coach, the program is uncompromisingly focused on achieving success at the highest levels of swimming. The training is a comprehensive, high-volume, and high-intensity program combining 7-9 pool sessions with 2 dedicated gym sessions per week. The focus is on specialized race strategy for regional success, advanced conditioning to peak for National Championships, and fostering the leadership skills expected of our top athletes.

Is your swimmer ready for Age Group & Senior Squad?

Entry into our top squad is by invitation from the Head Coach. Athletes at this level have demonstrated exceptional long-term commitment, a history of success, and the maturity and drive to thrive in a high-performance environment. They are the leaders and role models for our entire club.

Training Commitment

Full attendance at all training sessions (pool and gym) and targeted competitions is required and expected. This level of dedication is non-negotiable and essential for success.

Goals:

  • Full attendance in training and targeted meets (Level, Regional & National) required and expected

  • Focus on improving as a squad with an emphasis on team spirit and

    motivation in training to go the extra mile and achieve individual goals

  • Level 1, Regional and National Age Group Championship qualifying times

    and with a focus on results – long and short course

  • Applying yourself in all training by giving 100%

  • Be role models and leaders for our club and younger swimmers

  • Camp and holiday programme attendance - expected
